This product is part of our collection ‘Buy One, Plant One.’ For every t-shirt we sell, we plant an Andean Cedar in Omacha, Cusco. We do this in partnership with the NGO Pachamama Raymi. They run a program in these communities to help the families learn how to sustainably and responsibly, manage this resource so, the sale of the timber, can later become an additional long-term income source. This action aligns with our purpose as an additional income source speaks directly to helping improve their quality of life.
This product belongs to our first collection for kids. The designs were thought in what a kid likes, in making it fun and colourful. We decided to involve the kids for this part. In one of our giving trips, we briefed the schools of the community in a contest we would like to try as a pilot. We wanted the kids to ‘work’ for their jackets. We developed a contest where everyone was a winner. There were different components such as improve your local garden, improve your local school, build a library, and so forth. One component, aimed mainly at the younger kids was to draw up their own interpretation of their surrounding. Then, our design team at hösėg would pick the winning design for one of our 2018 t-shirts. This Mini Apu is the design that won.
We are very careful and demand our suppliers to produce high quality products. We have quality assurance personnel to review every piece of clothing that goes to our stores. Nevertheless, if your purchase has any fabric defect, we will immediately replace it with a new one.
